Styles: Illustrations are available in the following styles: semi-realism (i.e. classical painting style, no outlines), western comic / graphic novel (i.e. line art and shading).

Backgrounds: "Simple background" in the above price options refers to abstract or low-detail landscapes. "Complex background" refers to high-detail landscapes, architecture and/or low-detail background characters. If no simple background or complex background is ordered, your illustration will receive a basic background (flat colour, gradient, basic repeating pattern, or geometric shapes, according to your wishes).

Character Reference Sheets: Basic reference sheets include: frontview, backview, up to 4 facial expressions, up to 3 close-up shots of details. Additional outfits, close-up shots, facial expressions, etc are available at a higher price (negotiation-based). The "Monochrome / Greyscale" price reduction does not apply, but a reference sheet ordered in monochrome colours or greyscale may still receive a lower price.

What will and won't I paint?: I reserve the right to decline commission requests based on personal preferences. In general, I WILL paint: blood, gore, violence, body horror and other disturbing themes, non-sexual nudity. In general, I will NOT paint: anime / manga style, real life individuals, explicit sexual themes. If you are unsure whether I will take your commission, please go ahead and ask me!

What will you receive?: I work solely with digital media, and as such you will receive only digital goods. No prints or physical objects will be delivered.

Quality: The width and height of an illustration will be roughly between 2000px and 5000px (generally around 3000x4000px), and will be provided at 300dpi. Specific other requests are possible, but must be posed before I begin working.

Delivery: Finished pieces will be delivered via mail. Unless specifically requested otherwise, your illustration will be sent to the mail address that received the PayPal invoice; files of exceptionally large size may have to be sent via external download link.

Retaining Files: While I am likely to store completed pieces on an external hard drive or otherwise, I cannot and will not guarantee that an illustration will be kept around forever. After delivery, it is the sole duty of the client to store a completed commission.

Sketches: Upon finalisation of your commission, any design sketches that were produced for your illustration during the work process may be provided as separate files, at no additional cost. This request must be made before your illustration is finished or shortly thereafter; in any case, sketches can only be provided in this manner once the full price has been paid and I have begun work on the final illustration.

Payment Options: At the current moment, the only payment option I offer is PayPal. Do not send money directly to me — I will invoice you. PayPal fees are covered by me; what you see on the invoice is what you pay.

Price Negotiations: All prices provided in the commission info are fixed. Negotiations may occur only for specific requests that do not fit the provided price outlines, as necessary. In any case, I reserve the right to decline commission requests.

Initial Payment: After your commission is accepted, 50% of the total price must be paid upfront. Work will begin only once I have been able to confirm your payment has gone through.

Halfway Payment: After the initial payment has been confirmed, I will provide you with WIP ("work-in-progress") sketches and initial designs for your illustration; these are outfitted with watermarks and provided at a lower resolution, and serve purposes of feedback and figuring out the design for your illustration. Besides these sketches, I will begin work on the illustration itself only once the remaining 50% of the payment have been paid and confirmed on my end.

Full Upfront Payments?: If requested, full upfront payments are possible. Generally, full upfront payments result in faster completion of your commission, since only a single payment must be confirmed, rather than two, allowing for a continuous work process without interruptions.

WIP Updates: I will temporarily provide you with updates on your illustration. You yourself may at any time request to see the current state of the commission.

Requesting Changes: Should you notice any mistakes I have made that you wish fixed, or request I make any other kinds of changes, please inform me of this matter as soon as is possible. Should you request particularly massive changes after the illustration has already been completed, I reserve the right to deny your request, unless the changes concern severe mistakes on my part or unless additional fees are paid (negotiation-based). In any case, requests for changes can only be heeded while still working on the illustration, OR if they are made within a maximum of 3 days after receiving the illustration, OR if additional fees are paid after this time period has elapsed.

VAT: Due to current laws regarding Value Added Taxes (VAT) in Germany, I need to inform you that my invoices do not contain VAT according to § 19 UStG (Last updated: 22.01.2024).

Response Time: My response time may vary due to time zones and personal responsibilities. While I try to reply as swiftly as possible, please allow for up to 3 days of response time. Response time is significantly faster if contacted via Discord (see Contact).

Work Time: After accepting your commission, you will usually receive the first sketches for your illustration within 7 days. After the halfway payment has been confirmed on my end, you will receive updates on your illustration every week until completion; commissions of great scale or complexity may take longer. These given time periods are noncommittal and serve only as a reference point for what to expect; I may work faster, I may work slower depending on a variety of factors.

Deadlines: If there is a particular deadline you want me to keep, please inform me when you make your commission request.

Cancelling Commissions: Cancelling a commission is possible. If you wish to cancel a commission, you must contact me as early as is possible.

Cancellation before I begin working: 100% refunds are possible only before I begin working on any part of your commission, including sketches.

Cancellation during sketch phase: If I have already begun working on design sketches for your illustration, the 50% initial payment will not be refunded, but the rest of the payment invoice will not be sent.

Cancellation while working on the finalised illustration: If I have already begun working on the finalised illustration, no refunds may occur.

If you have paid the full price upfront: In case of cancellation, 50% can be refunded if I am in the sketch and design phase of the work process (i.e. before I have begun working on the illustration proper). If I have already begun working on the finalised illustration, no refunds may occur.

DO NOT ISSUE CHARGEBACKS ON YOUR OWN TERMS: Clients are not authorised to issue chargebacks or payment cancellations without first contacting me. Should your payment provider malfunction or authorise a chargeback without your request, or should you issue a chargeback on accident, please contact me as soon as possible. Should you be in violation of this request, I reserve the right to issue a block and blacklist on your contact information and payment account.

I retain the rights to my own artwork: I retain the rights to the artwork I produce, including for the purposes of but not limited to reproduction, selling of prints or other physical items, and social media usage. No other party other than myself is allowed to edit, copy, remove the watermark from, or trace a finished illustration.

Private Use: You may only reproduce or print commissioned artwork for personal and private use. You may NOT upload any artwork of mine (commissioned or otherwise) to social media, file-sharing websites, or similar ways of distributing digital files online. However...

Distribution Copies: ...you may request to receive a copy of my artwork (commissioned or otherwise) that was specifically prepared for distribution. This specifically prepared instance of artwork may be distributed through use of services such as social media, file-sharing websites, or similar ways of distributing digital files online.

Commercial Use: Artwork may be reproduced for commercial use or otherwise commercially processed ONLY IF commercial usage is specifically requested by the commissioner and agreed upon by both parties. The price of artwork made for commercial use must be negotiated on an individual basis. Should you decide to distribute my artwork, please provide credit in the form of my name and a link to my carrd.co or linktr.ee.

AI: Without my consent, my artwork (commissioned or otherwise) may not be used to feed, train, or otherwise further machine learning algorithms, AI, or similar software.

NFTs: Without my consent, my artwork (commissioned or otherwise) may not be used for or in the creation of NFTs or similar files, software, or digital goods.

Blocking and Blacklisting: Should you be in violation of the terms outlined in "Rights and Usage", or otherwise egregiously violate my Terms of Service, I reserve the right to block and blacklist your contact information.
